Kaitlin Puccio (IMDb.me/KaitlinPuccio) graduated from NYU with a degree in Philosophy, French, and Creative Writing. In 2013, she formed a production and publishing company, Bent Frame, LLC (BentFrameLLC.com). Kaitlin is the writer and creator of the fiction and poetry website Philosopagus.com, as well as the gluten free lifestyle brand Celia Kaye (CeliaKaye.com), whose articles on her experience with gluten sensitivity have been published on MindBodyGreen.com and the Huffington Post, and have been translated into Italian, Portuguese, Estonian, and Finnish.
“Circles” is Kaitlin’s debut film, which she wrote, directed, acted in, and produced. For “Circles,” Kaitlin won Best Director of a Short Film at Golden Egg Film Festival LA 2014, and was nominated for Best Actress. She was awarded the Gold Remi Award for Dramatic Original Short at WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival, where “Circles” screened at AMC Theatre. She won the Jury Award for Best Short Film at Hoboken International Film Festival, and was the only short film nominated to receive the Jury Award for Best of the Fest. “Circles” is an Official Selection of 30 Under 30 Film Festival, where Kaitlin was nominated for Best Director, NewFilmmakers NY, Cinema at the Edge Independent Film Festival, Northeast Film Festival, Beacon Independent Film Festival, and Southampton International Film Festival in the UK, where “Circles” was nominated to receive the award for Achievement in Sound Design. Kaitlin was a panelist on Beacon Independent Film Festival’s Women In Film Panel. Other award nominations for “Circles” include Best Director of Photography, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Special Effects.
Kaitlin has also written a feature-length screenplay. She previously won Honorable Mention from New Millennium Writings for her creative nonfiction essay, “Reflections in White Water.” Her fiction and poetry have been published in Tuck Magazine, Forth Magazine, and Chronogram Magazine under the name Philosopagus.
